I'm terrible with consistency. One of the most important skills a human being can have, and I am so incredibly bad at it that it's practically a personality trait by now. When I started this website, I tried my hardest to roleplay in my little made-up world. If you were there at the start, you know what I mean - "He Who Writes", the super long title, the bullshit paragraph that I pulled out of thin air to kinda-sorta-not really describe what was going on here, etcetera. And don't get me wrong, I still enjoy roleplaying and letting out my cringe demons. But that was a bit much...alright, maybe more than a bit. I've thought of so many ways to explain myself to you all over the past few months, but nothing ever felt right: "I'll be finishing another entry soon" would be stalling, "I'm sorry" would be giving up, and "I've got plenty of other projects in the works" would be a bribe. So, I'll just be honest - I have no idea what happens next. Life became a problem that I couldn't fix, leaving everyone who cared about this story (all five of you) holding the metaphorical bag.
I can't guarantee a consistent posting schedule, but there will be more to read here in time. For now, let me explain some of the ideas I have for how the website will be handled:
- Endless Possibilities - From now on, I'll post whatever I want. Gods, demons, magic, science, war, loss, family - anything I feel like writing. Probably won't get into any more long series for a while, since we saw how wonderfully that went, but I will definitely finish up that storyline. I'll do a full overhaul to the current entries, then finish the last two or three entries of that tale before moving onto greener pastures.
- Canon Content - Not everything posted will be entirely true to the world (stories about vampires don't mean vampires exist), but everything posted is part of the in-universe lore. Even if the supernatural isn't real, people believe it is, and will tell stories with that belief in mind. The same applies to mythological stuff as well as everyday occurrences; anything can be true or not, but it's all canon to the world regardless.
- Labels - In order to differentiate between different types of content, I'll be utilizing the label system within BlogSpot. Each post will have a categorizing label, allowing me to filter content for viewers without creating tons of separate menu pages.
Welcome to the Chronicalus.
